The students I teach have disabilities that affect their learning. All students in the class will benefit from the use of the wobble chairs. The ones who will show improvements in sitting and doing their work are the students I teach with Attention Deficit and Autism. Unlike many students in the lower 48, these children are outside constantly running, jumping and playing. They do not sit for long hours on the computer or playing video games. The importance of movement for these students cannot be underestimated. The children will be able to take care of their movement needs of rocking and tilting; going frontwards and backwards and from side to side. This will have a calming effect on the students and allow them to focus on the learning at hand! The struggle is real for these students and if a chair will make all the difference in keeping them focused and on task, I hope someone will be able to help these precious children.
