I want my students to look forward to coming to school to read! I want them to be so hooked in a book, they get excited when I say those magic words... silent reading. I'm hoping that with a more comfortable environment, students will be more inclined to read. I know I'd rather read on a comfortable carpet, than on a hard chair! Also, a large carpet will be very helpful for the students to have a place to sit to read, listen to presentations or pay atttention during direct instruction! My students would be grateful to have a comfortable place to sit!
