These ten sets of ten Level One readers will allow me to run effective small groups for emerging readers. Working with five to ten other students at the same reading level, and getting lots of one on one attention let's reluctant or later readers gain confidence . These favorite and new books are vetted by Reading A-Z and come with lesson plans, worksheets, and discussion cards that provide trusted reading and language skill activities before, during, and after reading. I plan on housing them in baskets for easy use by first grade teachers in the classrooms as well as by me in my cozy reading lab.
