I LOVE WHAT I DO! I just wish I had more resources available for my students. I work in a Title 1 school in the South Bronx. I teach Special Education students. These students need different avenues to learn and be exposed to the same material as the general education population. These iPads and headphones will not only enhance their learning but it will give them another tool to use to learn about the same subject as the general education students. My students need various modalities for learning. I will use the iPads in centers for English Language Arts. The students will rotate to different centers based on the day of the week, the task and the material that they need more practice with. The iPads will help my students in so many different ways. Some of my students do not even know how to use the computers in the room, so we had to teach them how to research and gather important information. The iPads will also help my English Language Learners with the translation of some of the words from Spanish to English. Technology is everything in this world and my students need more exposure and positive experiences using it.
