Our 1st grade classes are preparing for a musical performance, "Gettin' Down with Mama Goose." The program musically presents well-known nursery rhymes, putting them to the tune of classic 50's rock and roll styles. Each class is also reciting a nursery rhyme. This has been such a fun program and project for our students. We value the opportunity to be able to integrate reading and literacy in the music classroom. I would love for each of our students to be able to take home their very own book of nursery rhymes to retain and reinforce what we have learned in class, and encourage their love of reading.

About my class
