About my class

"Welcome to Wakanda" In our 5th grade classroom, we are all heroes. I wish to create a space where students feel free to be themselves and have what they need in order to do so. My students are true mathematicians and are always excited about new learning experiences. I always try to find ways to bring new and innovative strategies into the classroom to facilitate growth and further their love for mathematics. I wish to incorporate more hands-on projects and provide more challenging activities to help prepare them to compete in this new age of technology and high-order thinking. My school is classified as Title I. All of my students receive free or reduced lunch. While this limits the amount the funding available for certain materials in the classroom, it should not limit the opportunities my students are afforded. I think Donors Choose would help bring the vision of my students and classroom into fruition.
