With the i-pad minis, my students will be able to listen to books on various educational apps, such as Epic! Not only will my students be able to listen to books with these apps, but they will have access to thousands of books that are on their reading level and engage their interest. With the i-pads, I will be able to personalize my students' learning, not only for Reading but with many other subjects as well! Technology is an engaging tool to use to personalize the learning of all students! With the i-pads, my students will be able to use SeeSaw to record themselves reading or publish their writing. Recording their work through their SeeSaw account will enable them to keep track of growth throughout the year in Reading, Writing, and Math. Through Phonics and Math apps, my students will be able to practice their sounds and show their creative thinking in solving problems. Being able to take pictures and find pictures online will help students to be able to show their understanding of concepts in concrete ways and increase the students' ability to understand and use content specific vocabulary. Coming from families with mostly low socioeconomic status, many of my kids do not have opportunities to use technology at home to increase their learning. I would love to give my students the chance to improve their reading, writing, and math skills using technology to engage them and personalize their learning!
