Looking at specific character, setting, or plot differences within the stories can be a valuable learning tool, because it can improve comprehension and vocabulary. Fairy Tales often contain key phrases and repetition, helping beginning readers to recognize patterns in reading. The Fairy tale puppets will bring the stories to life. The STEAM blocks for the houses and bridge will be used to work with a group to figure out how to construct and problem solve. The books will be used during ELA block and also during small groups and student centers. This resource will provide engagement during reading and will provide hands-on science STEAM activities to build on students natural curiosity.
