"Class is over already Mrs. Pierce?" is one of my favorite questions to hear. A typical day in our classroom is busy from the get go. I am passionate about giving every student the tools they need to be successful. My 4th graders each have their own unique voices and respect is valued in our shared space. Creating a classroom community is so important to me as we will be spending a year growing together. I expect students to be vulnerable in their learning, to not shy away from challenging tasks, and to take risks. My students face obstacles no students should have to face at home, but they know at school they loved, cared about, and that I am rooting them on.
