The material provided will be used in a Special Education classroom and will allow the students the ability to choose their seating. We need a carpet, pillows and soft seats. If students are comfortable, they're more likely to stay on task. Students with special needs often have difficulty staying focused. They can't stay seated in a standard desk or chair for very long. I have obtained carpet squares for my students. I allow the students to sit where ever they want and use the squares. They are on task more often and they're completing their work! During reading, we pull out blankets and the carpet squares and sit on the floor! The students LOVE it! They are taking in so much more of the content, and it's amazing. I want to give my students more options, and flexible seating is the answer! I need your help to make it happen.
