The addition of new literature will expose my students to a world outside of their small world here in rural South Dakota. Many of my students come from low-income homes and do not have access to many books at home to read and many of the books we have here at school are old and tattered. I am trying to encourage my students to read and need more enticing books to peak their interest. These books will have my students becoming stronger more fluent readers and in turn, they will become stronger more confident students who are ready to move on to bigger and better things.

About my class
