Each day I am greeted with plenty of excited faces, each of them eager to explore the world around them. I am blessed to teach 20 preschool students; eleven 3 year olds, and nine 4 year olds. As this is their first school setting, many are just beginning to learn how to control their bodies and emotions in a more structured environment. We are also working with several students that have high sensory needs that have not qualified for special education services. In addition to this, many of our families fall below the state and national poverty line. Despite the many hardships our students face, they are excited to learn and explore new ideas and concepts. I hope to support and encourage their eagerness for learning in any way I can.
