My class is a second grade class located in South Carolina. It is full of huggable girls and boys. They have very little at home. Many are at severe low poverty level. All live in a violent neighborhood that is rampant with drug abuse. The unemployment rate is currently 18%. Many of my students' parents lost their jobs this year.
