I chose these activities because they are hands-on and engaging puzzles that will help improve my students' vocabulary. This will contribute greatly to helping my students' reading fluency. I have also added letter cubes to help my students form words and work on letter and sound recognition. They can build words and use picture and cards to help them hear beginning and end sounds. These different literacy activities will help my students grow to be strong, confident readers. English is a second language for many kids in my class so having picture cards to match with words is very important to support their learning. These activities will be done independently, in small groups, and during teacher time.
