During project time, my students will use the LEGO Classic Large Creative Brick blocks to create their own ideas for green homes. This will greatly enhance their understanding of the engineering process. We will look at the LEGO Creator Family House as our example of a home in the USA today. By building functioning wind turbines with the Thames & Kosmos Wind Power kits my students will have the chance to measure wind energy in a hands-on realistic setting. I imagine they would move these turbines around the school and see where the most profitable wind energy source could be.
