Wire is not an easy material to work with, save for the fact that it generally stays in the shape that you put it in, so I was also looking for the children to demonstrate some problem solving skills as they completed their pieces. Students will be able to express their ideas through a wire sculpture using cooper and brass rods and sculpture tools. They will chose to recreate or find inspiration in books, nature, or peers. I am excited for them to try wire! They could do sculptures of animals, faces, objects, or food! So many inspirations to chose from. Wire and the Twitsteez are a special materials that is open ended, which will help my students practice many skills.
