This Book Nook will entice readers with an inviting space. A colorful rug with comfortable pillows and chairs will allow students to relax while independently reading. Instead of reading at the back table during assessments, students can enjoy reading books in a quiet area. It would also allow the student I am progress monitoring, the ability to concentrate on their reading and help to keep them focused. My hope is that this space helps students to increase their reading stamina and promotes a love of reading. I believe the amount of distractions will decrease and the number of books read with increase with this new project.
