A makerspace is any place where students can come together to make, create, invent, and learn. My goal is to turn my classroom into a place where critical thinking and problem solving are valued and fostered. By creating a STEM makerspace within my classroom, I hope to achieve that goal. Within a makerspace, students can come together to solve problems, share ideas, and investigate areas of science, technology, engineering, and math that they normally wouldn't be able to in their classroom. Students will be able to use the tools requested (such as Ozobots, Dash robots, Snap Circuits Rover Kits, Spheros, Osmo Genius Kits, and more) to explore their surroundings and draw conclusions with STEM activities. Many standards will be met with this makerspace!
