Research shows that promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in the early childhood years, has an increase on student success in the future. Using hands-on, engaging materials that challenge students is something that should be encouraged in an Early Childhood classroom. These STEM materials would increase a love for STEM concepts and skills, improve academic scores. My students NEED these materials in order to provide depth and meaningfulness to their learning. Providing these materials would foster a love for STEM learning and promote an interest in these careers in the future. Giving my students the opportunity to engage in these activities COULD in fact, encourage them to persue a job in these fields in the future, which is in demand.

About my class
