Why Elective classrooms need technology! I am at a school with students from a wide range of economic and social backgrounds, causing a huge imbalance of technology and information access. Additionally, my school is a magnet school for students with autism, and I have a large special needs population with many students on IEPs that require access to differentiated technological aides. Unfortunately, many of the district students and their families are unable to provide the technology that their students need to keep up with their peers. With no funds available from the district or state, my students are hoping that Donors Choose can help us get the technology our students so desperately need and deserve. I am requesting 5, Samsung s7 tablets to assist all my students with the inspiration, visual, and research for their art projects. With full and equal access to all the amazing differentiated content, digital strategies, apps, websites, and programs like Google Classroom that tablet computers could provide, my students would thrive.
