Technology will make a huge difference in my special education students' lives because they will be able to use a customized computer program called ALEKS that differentiates math instruction online at their knowledge level. This technology will help me teach my students how to be effective problem solvers by applying the math skills they learn with real life math problems involving percentages, fractions, and geometric figures. In addition, these laptops will enable them to have access to a speech to text accommodations or supplemental applications that will help prepare them for our district wide standardizing math testing. These computer can help my students discover what their passion is in life through career exploration by giving them a chance to research potential careers that match their interests.

About my class
