The Scholastic Science World magazines are a rich resource for appropriately challenging current and relevant reading selections for 9th graders. Students find them interesting and engaging. The skills sheets that come as part of the digital media are well designed to help students build a variety of highly valued skills. These skills include determining correct meaning from the text, graphing and analyzing data, doing research to extend understanding, and summarizing information from a variety of text structures. The graphics make the text so much richer than things we can download and print.
