Students learn best when they are fully engaged. I would like to add some flexible seating options to my classroom to help students feel more comfortable. By offering up seating choices the students can use the tools that best help them to focus! We need small stools, seating pads and totes to make reading boats! The stools will allow my kids to perch all around the room. The totes will be transformed into individual reading boats, where kids can float and explore books in comfort! Lastly, the seat pads help my wiggliest of buddies to feel comfortable as they get used to being seated for longer portions of the day. I would love to see students comfortably seated around my room in groups instead of always seated in a strict desk format! I have found that often my kids who need to move and groove do so much better when they can be on the floor and spread out a bit.
