Teaching history is a dream come true for me, but in a world where students are used to visual stimulation and entertainment, a standard textbook is insufficient. I have never been a textbook teacher anyway, so thinking outside the "book" is the norm for me. I love integrating technology in a way that brings history to life. However, being attached to the front of my room next to a computer is not conducive to student engagement. Proximity allows me to keep students on task, and that is achievable with an iPad and Apple TV. Manipulating the screen, allowing students to manipulate the screen - these are ways to keep my students engaged and excited about learning. I hope that you will consider my request and help me to make my students' learning experiences more interactive than ever. Thank you.
