In my classroom we use technology in every unit. From educational short videos, webquests, and instructional powerpoints. Having students have the ability to use technology not only engages their learning but also prepares them for the world outside of the classroom. The only problem is when I have students work at their own pace I do not have headphones for them to use. When relying on low income students to bring their own I will always be left with students that do not have the supplies needed. Not only do we need headphones for engaging lessons but also all assessments have the option to be read aloud to all students on the computers. This is vital for the students that struggle to read, or are learning English. With the technology to have the questions read to the students, the students do not have to worry about the quality of their reading but the content in which they are being assessed. To have headphones in my classroom would be an asset to the students and their learning.
