Students will enter the classroom each morning with an "Exploration Tub" on their desks waiting for them. The tubs will allow my students to practice math and reading concepts as well as problem solving with hands on experiences through play. I'm ready to throw those morning worksheets away and have my students excited to come to second grade each morning. They will be able to work cooperatively and build social skills (screen free!) The "Exploration Tubs" will rotate each day in order to provide each student with various materials and experiences. Some tubs will be related to what we are currently learning and some tubs will simply provide a chance to explore in a more open ended manner.
