My classroom is made up of 9 self-contained, active, loving, and beyond happy students. I am so lucky to be working with such a lively group of kiddos. Most of my students are non-verbal, not potty trained, and require a lot of adult support to assist their daily needs. They are all very eager to learn and love books more than anything! They are all able to match and sort letters, numbers, shapes, and colors when working one-on-one. Attending to tasks, over 5 minutes, in a group setting is very challenging for them. They are currently developing stamina to stay in their seat and use active listening skills for longer periods of time, pointing to tasks after a verbal command, and playing with friends. My classroom is the perfect size for the amount of students I have this year. We have designated areas for the students to learn, eat snack, use technology, play with toys, take a break, and store their belongings.
