I was lucky enough to be involved in a pilot program which brought in 10 chromebooks to my classroom this year. Unfortunately even after asking parents to bring in headphones for their students we weren't able to get headphones. I have created blended learning google classrooms for both math and reading and we do 20 minute rotations so I am able to work with students in small group to help meet their needs, students are doing independent work and the computer work for their other 2 rotations. The blended learning slideshows have videos of me reteaching the lessons so struggling students are able to watch them over and over for mastery. There are also other learning games and notes they must fill out in their notebooks. Several students are unable to view all videos and activities as they don't have headphones and they can't hear it when the volume is turned down so low so they aren't distracting others. In order to better help my students I want to be able to provide them with the supplies they need - the headphones so they are able to work on the math and reading activities without bothering their neighbor and really get information from the playlist.
