The new cubbies would be the first step in starting to change the first impression of parents when they walk into this Pre-K classroom. With the addition of these cubbies, the children will feel a sense of order and personal space when each cubbie is identified with the child's name and corresponding picture. Having a specific place for them to place their belongings enables the child to be more independent and organized as they begin their experience, in what for most, will be the first time away from home and their parents. Thus, a WELCOMING and nurturing place. A place that they look forward to come to each and every day.
