My students spend a lot of time on individualized educational programs that are available to us on the iPads. These programs help to meet each student where he/she is at in reading and math, rather than pushing them too hard or scaling back too much. We are fortunate enough that our district has provided us with a class-set of 32 iPads to use every single day. However, the students are having a very hard time using them effectively because they do not have access to headphones. Students hear, and are distracted by, everyone else's iPads around them! Having a class-set of headphones would help them stay on task and maximize their learning. Not to mention I can have the headphones for years to come!
