This collection of books will either allow my students to see themselves reflected, or help them to better understand folks who are different from them. I will use these texts as read alouds in my classroom, and I will facilitate discussions and activities to help them deepen their understanding of the texts. By donating to this project, you will help promote empathy and understanding in a generation of future leaders. These books will help my students become informed, thoughtful citizens. You will also help instill a love of reading in my students for years to come, as these texts will be used year after year.
