It is simply amazing how students are engaged with technology. Students will use the iPads in reading centers in the morning and math centers in the afternoon. Due to all my students being well below grade level they receive small group intervention from myself. During this time the other students are at academic centers. The iPads will help the students not only stay engaged but expand their learning while I am working with a small group on their individual academic needs. There are many wonderful apps that will help the students with writing and recognizing their name, alphabet, and numbers as well as books that can be read aloud to them. When possible the iPads will help me with testing the students, which will take less time then doing it by hand. This means I will take less time testing and will have more time to teach! Not only will the iPads be fun and educational for the students they will help keep their motivation to learn and build their confidence as we will be working hard everyday to make every student proficient and successful.
