These materials will improve my student's school lives and learning by providing up-to-date technology right at their fingertips on a regular basis. We currently have outdated Nooks that my special needs students can not use to conduct their own read alouds. Additionally, the 2 student computers in the room are old and slow. Many schools are providing Writing Centers to help develop their student's writing skills; I'd like to create an in-class Literacy Center to help improve my student's literacy skills. They will have access to the things they need to become better readers, writers, listeners, and communicators. Also, I want to provide access to computers for students who may not have access at home to type assignments and create projects in class.
