Princeton High School serves an urban community on the north side of Cincinnati. It supports the educational needs of over 6,000 students from a variety of backgrounds, with no single culture group being in the majority. That diversity, above all else, is what defines Princeton as a community and it is why I pursued a teaching career as a STEM teacher here. My classroom is the size of two normal classrooms, with half of the room set up as a computer lab for virtual projects and the other half of the room set up as a workshop for student projects. It is a great space for giving students opportunities to explore ideas, but I have only been in this room for 2 years and configuring it for best learning practices remains a work in progress.
