Students will read the novel and learn about people in need. They will participate in a walk (for water) a-thon. Then they will work with the local 4H community liaison to make hats and scarves that will be shared locally (students will decide if that is the homeless center, veterans, hospice patients, foster children, etc.) My hope is that this is a grassroots movement, where students will take this project and run with it. I am hoping that they will come up with other ideas to help support their community and environment. I hope that you can help us with this project! Thank you!!
