The majority of my students are from extremely high needs families in the neighborhood. Most of them do not have access to any type of technology outside of school grounds. In 2016, almost everything is based on technology. If students do not have the proper resources to complete tasks, they feel defeated and will have a harder time in school. Many of our assignments and extra support systems put in place for our students relies on technology. The computers in our classroom do not work as well as they should. New technology will give students in my class with occupational difficulties a better chance at completing assignments, as well as allowing students to read and do math online.
