We are a 6th grade class in Idaho. We are currently in a middle school, but it is our first year moving from elementary. In our classroom we engage in reading and writing workshop daily. We meet together for a minilesson then work around the room for independent/partner time. During our class we engage in flexible seating. I believe that when students are allowed to move around the room they work better. We love to read and write! One of our common reads is The Lightning Thief. We focus on narrative, informative, and argumentative writing as well during workshop. Check out our current grants to see what we are up to!
