Instead of taking notes today during our 2nd hour, we’re going to talk to our state representative live from the capitol about the impact yesterday’s vote will have on you and our community. Not many students will sleep through that one. Social studies has the reputation of being boring and all paper and pencil. I’m trying to break that stereotype, and you can help. I look back at my own educational experience and wonder how much more I would have gotten out of being able to make a commercial or act in a skit instead of writing a paper after reading the testbook. Today’s generation lives on YouTube. Just visualize how much more excited they will be when we are uploading class skits instead of reading from their notebooks.
