In our classroom, my students work hard to become better and better readers! Studies show that second grade is so important - this year my 7 and 8 year old students will grow more as readers than in any other year! We use the Teacher's College Reader's Workshop, Writing Workshop, and Phonics Workshop lessons. My students love the work we are doing, and they're excited to find a place in our room and settle in with a good book. My 2nd graders will use these amazing book sets for help with comprehension, noticing writer's craft, comparing and contrasting characters and their points of view, and to help improve their phonics skills.
