The quality of the learning environment is essential for activating a student's brains for learning. Everything in the classroom, from the colors on the walls to furniture placement, helps set the tone for the quality of learning which will take place in the classroom each day. Our 6th grade Mathematics classroom is lively. We decorate the room using trendy themes and have students sit at tables, conducive for collaboration. Although the space is nice, bright, and fun, there is not much room to store student belongings and mathematics materials/manipulatives. We need chair pockets to help keep and make room for student binders, interactive notebooks, and pencils on the table tops. In addition, this would be used as a place to house the manipulatives used alongside the curriculum. These chair pockets devices will provide students with easy, but clutter-free access to the manipulatives and devices needed for student learning.
