The boards, wooden sticks, pens, pencils and other supplies will allow my students to work in class to build a replica of their vision of Maycomb County, the setting for "To Kill a Mockingbird". Building a replica of the setting brings the novel to life!! Imagine having your depiction of Maycomb County from "To Kill a Mockingbird" in a three-dimensional display of creativity and comprehension. My students will have an opportunity to construct Scout's house, the courthouse, and the neighborhoods that make this classic so heartfelt. The students will be working in groups so that this project would also enhance the sense of teamwork in our class.
