My students participate in daily literacy centers. One of the literacy centers includes word work. During the word work station students are given five differentiated vocabulary words each week. Throughout the week students create their vocabulary words with scrabble pieces, wikki stixs, and magnets. My hope is to also include stamps! There are six students for each group. I would need six sets of alphabet stamps and a handful of ink pads to last the school year. Students grow when the learning is interactive. Children need multiple opportunities to succeed through a variety of hands-on manipulates. It is my role as an educator to make sure students are given these opportunities.
