As a first year teacher, it is almost impossible for me to provide everything I need for my class. Therefore, I need your help! My students deserve a better selection of books in our classroom library. My class LOVES books, we just simply do not have enough. Every kindergarten classroom should be filled with just right books as well as fun books that spark student interest and foster a love for reading. I want my children to step into our classroom library and feel like a kid in a candy shop! My students are smart and enthusiastic about learning; they deserve good books! As Frank Serafini said, “There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are only children who have not found the right book." My students will greatly benefit from a variety of books that will serve their various reading levels and interests. With new book choices, I hope my students will dive into reading and continue being enthusiastic learners! Your generous donation to our project will improve our classroom by building stronger readers and writers. Students will use the books during silent reading and station time. My students deserve nothing but the best! Just imagine how their faces will light up when they see all the new books!
