Having a carpet where the students can come together to learn a new or previous taught concept will be a great asset to the classroom. They will be able to bring the book bags over and sit with a friend to read. The students could also bring math manipulatives over to practice math concepts. Being at their tables are not always comfortable for the students and when they are not comfortable, they have difficulty learning. The carpet will be a place for my students to gather to work together and feel comfortable. I really feel that the carpet will provide an area where my students can feel at ease while they are learning.
