As adults, we always admire how resilient children are. Each day I walk into my classroom I am reminded that while resilient, children are also fragile. Every one of my students have experienced some kind of traumatic event. My job is to not only educate then, but to try and help them overcome the obstacles that are impeding their academic success. Our classroom currently has six students with more bound to join us as the year progresses. While that may seem like a small number, their level of need is great! My students are so incredible-each and every one of them! They need a village to rally around them, to help them believe in themselves and know they are worth something! Please consider giving to the incredible group of students I have the honor of teaching each day!
