I teach all-day kindergarten to 26 precocious students. My students are eager to learn to read and work hard at it each day. Some of the activities they participate in during language arts centers are: listening to reading, word play, reading from individual book boxes, and writing workshop. I would love to expand these centers by adding more audio CD's to the listening center, adding a high quality CD/tape player and headphones for them to listen to, and adding more copies of the corresponding books. I'd also like to buy some laminating pouches for my personal laminating machine so I can add more word games to the word play center. Finally, I would like to add more book boxes to sort the books by level and topic and to make it easier for the students to find books of interest to them. I truly appreciate any donations which will assist me in teaching these bright little five and six year olds to read and write.
