Having the markerboard tables in the classroom will allow for different structures of learning. Whether it is simple and quick note-taking, a brainstorming session for a research project, or notes for a group project, these tables will aid in further developing my students' collaboration skills. In a world where 21st Century Skills are virtually a requirement to be taught to students in order to provide them with the possibility of success in their future, the need to further develop the ability to collaborate with others in ways beyond "on paper" is a necessity. These tables will help me foster and facilitate a learning environment that puts the students in the position to share, collaborate, and think "off the paper" daily in my classroom.
