By have a calming corner in the classroom, the students would be able to take a break to get out of their desks and away from everyone in the classroom. When a student is frustrated, upset, overstimulated, etc, they will be able to request a break and go in the corner to calm down. This will give them the opportunity to take some deep breaths and clear their thoughts, so that they will be able to come back and focus on learning. This would benefit all nine students in my class, because they all could use a break every now and then. By having the dividers, I would be able to section off a corner in the classroom where the students would be able to take that needed break so they will be able to focus and work.
