Here is how it works: The student's goal is to read all of the books from the categories listed on the reading challenge they choose. There are five challenges to choose from, each challenge ranging in difficulty and diversity in authors and genres. The Tower of Books Challenge is both challenging, yet exciting. My hope is that my students will get a “taste” of some different types of books he/she may not have read before, and all the while have fun keeping tracking of his/her reading. I can’t wait to see the progress and watch my students become excited about reading and blossom as readers. In order to complete in this challenge, my students are in need of books! Our classroom library is dismal to say the least and my students can't wait to get their hands on these books and start this challenge. Creating a classroom library equipped with books from various authors and genres will enable my students to dive into this reading challenge become excited about reading! Help us stack those books!
