Our Multimedia Publications class is fortunate to have a decent set of DSLR cameras that have been acquired over the years. However, to produce the quality daily news show that we would like, we need just a little bit of help. We need these microphones, tripods, and lighting to help us get a quality level of production to match the quality of the content our students create. While our student make the best with what they have, this equipment would boost the production quality tremendously. In the past, our students have made some great segments and skits, but the three most common problems they encounter when filming and editing their videos is not being able to hear the subjects, not being able to see the subject, or the subject is shaky. While these may not seem like that big of a deal, it often, at a minimum, distracts from the quality of the video, and sometimes outright ruins it. I want my students to have the best opportunity to share their creativity through their work and having the proper equipment to avoid these distracts would be a tremendous help.
